These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Image Compressor ("the App"), provided by ByteForge Tools ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
Image Compressor is a utility app that helps you compress images on your device. You may use the App for personal or lawful business purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable laws.
2. Local Processing
The App is designed to process images locally on your device. We do not provide cloud image storage, online backup, or server-side image processing as part of the App. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of original and compressed files.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You must have the legal right to process and share the images you select.
- You are responsible for reviewing compressed outputs before sharing or deleting files.
- You should avoid sharing images that contain sensitive personal information or metadata unless you intend to do so.
- You must not use the App for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes.
4. Advertising
The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Some ads may be personalized depending on your location, settings, and consent choices. In regions where consent is required, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage those choices.
5. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, file provider, image format, or Android version.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByteForge Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of files, loss of profits, or business interruption arising from your use of the App.
7. File Operations
The App may allow you to rename, move, share, or delete compressed image outputs. These actions may affect files stored on your device or in folders you choose. Please review confirmation dialogs carefully, especially before deleting files.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services such as Google AdMob, Google UMP, Google Play services, Google Firebase Analytics, and Google Firebase Crashlytics. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Changes to the App
We may update, modify, add, or remove features from the App from time to time. We may also change advertising behavior, supported formats, or user interface details to improve the App or comply with platform requirements.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
